Activation Case Study

Publicis makes early detection a priority

Publicis Groupe recognized that supporting employees impacted by cancer starts long before a diagnosis, so the company launched Time to Screen to empower employees to prioritize preventive care. From an inspiring global message from the company’s CEO to onsite screenings and at-home screening kits, the initiative removes hurdles that keep people from life-saving checks. And it’s already boosting screening rates.

Board room promise to break room practice

From a high-profile CEO commitment to hands-on local support, Publicis’ Time to Screen program is designed to feel personal. While the global launch established a company-wide promise, turnkey toolkits empower local leaders to adapt that promise for their regions—accounting for differences in healthcare systems, benefits, and cultural norms. This approach allows the program to scale globally while remaining relevant locally.

A blueprint for driving company-wide action

By giving permission from the top, providing resources and reminders, and normalizing conversations, Publicis has created the conditions where taking time to screen becomes the easy (and expected) choice.

Always-on efforts keep screening top-of-mind

Rather than treating Time to Screen as a one-time announcement, Publicis has turned it into an always-on movement, building momentum at strategic health moments throughout the year.

A personal call to action

In February, Publicis kicked off the initiative with a personal video from CEO Arthur Sadoun, echoed by local leaders in town-halls and email.

Gut health takes center stage

In March and April, a “Gut Check” panel and at-home screenings made colorectal cancer awareness personal, actionable, and easier to prioritize.

Biometric screenings made seamless

By September, onsite and at-home biometric screenings turned early detection and preventive care into a practical coffee-break activity.

Breast health comes into focus

For October, targeted breast cancer awareness programming and resources kept screening visible and reinforced a culture of early detection.

THE PROGRAM IN ACTION

“It’s awesome to work for a company that empowers me to prioritize my health.”

- Shanna S., Publicis Groupe Employee

When Shanna saw a post from a colleague that taking Time to Screen led to their dermatologist discovering a pre-cancerous spot, she made time for her own appointment. At that visit, her doctor found two spots that ultimately needed to be removed. Now, she actively encourages her own team to schedule any check-ups or screenings that they might be behind on.
